A multi-instrumentalist focusing on trumpet and guitar, Eric Ferguson has been involved in music performance and production for over thirty years. From ensemble involvement in big bands, choirs, and Afro-Cuban groups, to solo work as a singer-songwriter, Eric’s performance experience has spanned a wide spectrum of style and aesthetic.
As a graduate student, Eric investigated Afro-Latin musics. Download his master’s thesis “Afro-Cuban Son Trumpet In The Septeto Period: Performance Practices and Historical Context“.
As a trumpeter, he currently performs in jazz ensembles in the Bangor, Maine area.
As a producer, programmer, and instrumentalist, Eric has lent his talents to major label album projects and national ad campaigns for clients such as Circuit City and Walmart.
As a recording artist, Eric has released several self-produced albums.
